The University of Bath awarded VINCI Construction UK a £27.5 million contract to design and build two new student accommodation blocks at the university's Claverton Down campus. The accommodation is due to open in autumn 2018 and will offer 293 en-suite bedrooms in 37 flats arranged around a landscaped courtyard.

Each flat will have a kitchen-diner and shared social space. There will also be dedicated communal learning spaces including boardroom-style meeting rooms with the latest audio-visual facilities.

Anglewest Scaffolding Ltd were awarded the contract for these works following on from a period of consultation with the site team to reduce the scheme to save time and costs. The scaffold involved was for stone installation to the facades that were inaccessible to mast climbers and included running tracks and loading bays, in addition we provided roof top access scaffolds and various internal birdcages, supports and handrails. Work started November 2017 and is due to complete in the autumn of 2018 ready for the start of the academic year.
