Policy Statement
All staff
are encouraged to adopt an attitude of continuous improvement. Anglewest
Ltd is committed to providing training necessary for employees
to do their job efficiently and improve their skills. We believe
investment in our staff to improve their skill base is an investment
in the future.
We fully support and uphold the Construction Industry training standards for operatives and ensure that our workforce has full access to appropriate training for the work they do. The CITB provide specialist training schemes for scaffolders which we take advantage of for our staff. There are various means of acquiring the qualifications – as an apprentice, trainee or obtaining accredication for experience through the Assessed Route of Entry. The highest achievement for a scaffolder is NVQ Level 3 and many of our employees hold this qualification.
All employees are required to hold as a minimum, a valid Health & Safety pass certificate. Some employees hold more than one type of certificate to enable them to operate machinery.
Additionally, our employees receive training for the following:
Harness/Lanyard use
Toolbox Talks (weekly)
Abrasive Wheels
Slinger/Banksman
Forklift
HIAB
MEWPS
Scaffolding skills
Construction Industry Registration
95% of our site employees hold valid CISCS/CISRS cards. The remaining 5% are working towards registration through the NVQ route.
We are proud to hold the Construction Industry's Gold Certificate of Commitment
